| Power in this Rpg is represented in stats, which are divided into five categories: Strength, Agility, Toughness, Will, and HP. Hp is a constant rate of growth and is only affected by traits and what level you are. Will is the character's magical powers, covering over any techniques like elemental manipulation, or magic-based. It also determines the power of magical weapons. Toughness is the defensive power of the character. For every attack, this will help remove damage and last longer in battle. This also helps your character with enduring environment changes or damages. Agility is the quickness and accuracy of the character. The higher it is, the better chance you have at hitting and dodging against opponents. This stat also determines how much power is granted with the use of ranged weapons. Strength is the physical power of your character, but also determines the effectiveness of all other types of weapons not mentioned before.
How do I gain more stats and techniques?
This is done through leveling up. For every post, you receive one Xp, and a defined amount will let you reach the next level. At this point, you will receive three Stat points (or SP) to spread among your stats as you see fit. A maximum level will be reached for each arc, limiting how powerful your character can get in periods. There is also another level, called Technique or Skill Level. This will increase every time you defeat an enemy, either player or monster. It goes up based on the level defeated. At the end of a thread, when XP and Texp is calculated, a member of staff will accept the thread and point out who has leveled up and what has leveled up when doing so. To distribute stat points and to gain/level techniques, post how you want to distribute your SP or/and what technique you want to add/upgrade in your character sheet Thread located in the CHARACTER SHEET forum.
Attacks everyone knows Every single character knows how to STRIKE, whether it be a punch, kick, or flailing with a weapon. Strike calculations use STR.
Techniques! Techniques! Techniques!
Techniques are skill that will aid you in battle. They are the abilities you character has picked up through experience. For every Skill Level, you will either be awarded a new technique at base power, or upgrade a previous known technique to do more.
There are 3 types of Techniques
Active Techniques are offensive skills. They govern melee bursts, melee combos, magic and energy based attacks, and AoE techniques. There are 3 levels of techniques, SIMPLE, ADVANCED, and MASTERED. Simple techniques are energy blasts, super melee attacks, basic AoE attacks, and basic melee combos. USABILITY: These attacks can be used multiple times per thread, 10 if the technique's level is Simple; 20 if it's Advanced; and Unlimited if it's Mastered. Advanced techniques are Energy beam attacks, large energy blasts, Super Heavy Melee Attacks, moderate AoE attacks. and longer/stronger melee combos. USABILITY: These attacks are heavier in stamina use, so you have limited use per thread, 5 if the technique's level is Advanced; 10 if it's Mastered. Mastered Techniques are the most advanced and powerful technique you have. Examples would consist of large Area of Effect attacks or direct hits for large amounts of damage. Their ways of calculating damage are listed in the chart below. USABILITY: These attacks drain your stamina, leading to only being able to be used a total of 3 times out of all your Mastered Techniques per thread.
Governing stats are: Physical melee attacks use STR, Energy and Magic based attacks use WIL, Ranged and skill weapons use AGI.
Single Target Techniques: Simple: CharacterLevel + Governing Stat Advanced: CharacterLevel*2 + Governing Stat Mastered: Characterlevel*3 + Governing Stat
Always round up.
Area of Effect Target Techniques: Simple: CharacterLevel*0.5 + Governing Stat Advanced: Characterlevel + Governing Stat Mastered: Character level*2 + Governing Stat
NOTE: When you upgrade an active or Utility, you keep the previous version of that technique as well as the new, upgraded form.
Utility Abilities are abilities that do not have offensive purposes. These govern movement, healing, and shielding abilities. Calculations for healing and shielding are as follows. 1/2CharacterLevel + WILL
Advanced Utilities offer AoE to two people. As Master Utilities offer AoE effect to three people.
NOTE: When you upgrade an active or Utility, you keep the previous version of that technique as well as the new, upgraded form.
Passive Masteries are anything that do not fit into the other categories. Weapon skills, advanced fighting styles, and all others fit in here. There are 3 levels of Passives, Beginner, Adept, and Master.
Beginner - You have grasped the basics of said passive. Adept - You've grown in the mastery of your passive. Master - You've mastered your passive.
If it is a weapon skill, fighting style, or manipulation you can choose for your mastery to be primarily Offensive or Defensive.
Offense Beginner- +2 to Total Damage / +1 to Block Adept- +4 to Total Damage / +2 to Block Master- +6 to Total Dmage / +3 to Block
Defense Beginner- +1 to Total Damage / +2 to Block Adept- +2 to Total Damage / +4 to Block Master- +3 to Total Damage / +6 to Block
The governing stats for weapons are either STR or AGI. Elemental manipulations are WIL

| We've made a slight update to Passive Masteries. They can now also be used to augment Blocking! - Old:

| I hope we're not liited to these traits? If not I'd like to suggest:
Qi Rush: When your HP drops below 10% you gain a boost in WIL and AGI, giving you a chance to quickly dodge and/or counterattack powerfully.Doubles WIL and AGI for 2 posts, usable once per thread. Can not be used in conjunction with the "Blood Frenzy" Trait.
It's essentially blood frenzy for the other stats.

| Nah, you can make completely custom traits if you want too. And Crow has a trait that's the same as that one.
[Cold Instincts]: When your HP drops below 10%, your calculated instincts go into overdrive. You gain a boost in AGI and WIL, making your actions quicker and more powerful. Doubles AGI and WIL for 2 posts. Useable once per thread.

| One part I think I missed in copying from Tails and mine discussion: AOE attacks are vastly overpowered. Almost as strong as single target attacks. Imo they should be .5/.75/1 *lvl plus the stat. At most .5/1/1.5 *lvl.
OR
the same calculation for single targets 1/2/3*lvl plus stat DIVIDED by number of enemies.
In addition to that, it isn't stated how much TExp is needed to learn new moves or up the mastery level on old ones. I think that should be figured out. (Tails im gonna kick your ass)

| As far as the TEXP thing goes, go to your profile and activate your character sheet. It should activate both your regular XP and your TXP bar so you can see how long it'll take for the next level. | |

| It looks like only Admins can edit them, I guess.
I'll see if I can get the power to do that from Tails/Phan since they're not always around.
