[Private] An Unlikely Companionship!

Leo got up out of his chair and stetched for a quick moment. He began to walk towards the red curtains. Beforehe shifted through them, he turned back to Chrome. "I'll be back in a couple of minutes." he then continued to make his way through the red curtains.

As Leo walked through the hallway, he noticed the Bookeeper with some child. This child looked extremley familiar... too familiar. Leo could have been hallucinating, but this young man looked like his good friend Bault. He continued his way down the hallway.

"Elven or otherwise, I can understand if you do not carry the information. It's not exactly...common...knowledge..." Locke's eyes caught the attention of a certain individual, "I'll be back in a few minutes. If you have it, then great. If not, no harm done."

Locke's eyes caught with Leo and locked onto the man. It was him, the man that he wrote to over a year ago. It had to be, if the picture matched the face he saw before him. Although he couldn't be entirely sure if it was him. The Firstborn Scion approached Leo swiftly and stopped a few feet from him:

"Mi perdoni, signore," Locke announced, "Wouldn't you be by any chance Leonardo Stone?"

Leo stared at the boy. He was literally a spitting image of his father, down to his facial structure and his hair, even his orange skin.

"I'm guessing you're the one who sent me that letter a year go, aren't you kid?"

"Hmm, now that I think of it...." Locke pondered, scanning the man, "It could be that you're him. But at the same time you could be a shapeshifter made to look like him. I need to know for sure..."

Locke removed his right glove and held up the back of his hand to where Leo can see it. On his hand was a large, blackish-brown birthmark in the shape of an omega symbol. If this was really Leo, if this was really a compatriot of his father, then he would know for sure.

"What does this symbol signify?"

Leo sighed and rolled his eyes back. This was totally Bault's son.

"The Omega Scion symbol. The Mark of Scion, the mark that you were born with. Your father Bault has both, y'know. The omega and the eye, y'know, with him being the Alpha and all."

Locke grinned at the answer, "Yep, you're definitely him all right. Hang on, I got something for you as a token of appreciation."

Locke put his glove back on, reached into his pocket and pulled out a pouch the size of his fist filled to the brim with gold coins. With a bit of enthusiasm, he tossed the pouch over to Leo.

"Sorry for such a long wait, Mr. Stone. It isn't much, but hopefully this covers all the headaches that you had to go through this past year."

Leo caught the pouch in his hand and eyed it for a good minute. He then stuffed the pouch into his pocket and focused his attention on the young Omega Scion.

"No need to apologize, kid" Leo started, "I've learned a lot during that time I spent traveling. But enough of me, what did you need ME for?What happened to Bault?"

"Father is perfectly fine, Mr. Stone," answered Locke, arms crossed, "Although I'm sure he's pissed that I decided to leave out on my own. I wanted to know more about my father's past but he insists on not talking on the matter at all. Not even mother wants to talk about it. And since nearly all of father's comrades have either died, or have left to distant lands and stars, the only person left to talk to was you."

"Ah, where are my manners! Let me introduce myself," Locke then gave a elegant bow, "My name is Locke Versetto Bault, the Firstborn of the Versetto Clan."

"No need to introduce yourself to me, kid. I know who you are already. If you're forgetting I'm one of your father's closest friend's. I watched you as a toddler as Bault trained me.. you were a fiesty one." Leo said as he paced back and forth.

"I know Bault is going to kill me if he ever finds out, but what do you need to know Locke?"

"If he were to kill you, he'd have to catch you first, Mr. Stone," laughed Locke as he rubbed the back of his head, "But yeah. I want to know the life that he had before I came into existence. The good, the bad, the ugly, all of it. Don't shy on details, either, I can handle it."

Leo stared at Locke for a second.

"Your father has a very, very, complicated history, kid. For starters your father had a half brother, Johnny. From what he told me, him, his father and his half brother stayed with eachother. Your grandfather Vega won custody of the two." Leo began to pace back and forth, trying to recall more of his former master's past.

"Oh, yes! Your father was in a band at one time, kid. During this time he found a Seraph, y'know, an Angel by the name of Zadkeil in his basement tied and bound. However, things happened and Johnny and Bault wound up getting killed in an explosion." Leo stopped.

"Yeah, you heard me right." Leo began to pace back and forth.

1 hour later.....

"Basically Locke, your father was a true badass. Time-travel, death, angels, money. He lived the dream. Then he met me about a decade and a half ago, back when I was still with my tribe. Tried to take me in, but I refused. We eventually battled, and though it was one of the toughest battles I've fought, I managed to get the win. And since then, your father taught me some of his skills and I became his first student."

Leo bent down to Locke.

"But that's the past and now he has a new life, a family. Y'know? He can't stay in the past, and his son doesn't need to be stuck in it either."

Locke was sitting down absorbing all of this information. From hearing all of the tales of his father's adventures and life history and from the perspective that Leo saw it from made a lot sense to him. The future and making your own path in the world, how could the young lad be so foolish? When Leo finished speaking, the Omega Scion spoke:

"Thank you for this, Mr. Stone. And you're right - I can't be so focused on the past that my father has lived," With a burst of energy, Locke shot up to his feet with brimming confidence, "All right, then it's settled! I'll be making some bloody adventures of my own! I can't be the future Clan Leader of my entire race without being able to make my own way for a change!"

Leo looked at Locke and smiled, the boy exhibited many qualites that his father possesed.

"Just who are you going on these adventures with kid? I'm sure your father wouldn't like you out there by yourself."

"What do you take me for, some weak-sauce bitch?" laughed Locke, "I traveled by myself all the way from the Valkyrie Shoreline for a year now and I never got so much as a scratch! I know how to hold my own."

"Although...it does get pretty lonely having to trek by myself. Say, let's become partners! We'll split any loot we come across evenly and everyone gets their fair share. Whatcha say?"

Leo chuckled at Locke's spunk before responding back to him.
"I'd like it if you watch your mouth around me, kid." Leo started, "As for being partners?" he shrugged, "What's the worst that can happen?"

"Hey, it's not like I'm calling you that, Mr. Stone," grumbled Locke, "But I'll try not to be too far out there when I'm enjoying myself. Speaking of which..."

Locke approached Leo a bit and sniffed him down. While it felt awkward, the Omega Scion felt it necessary. He recognized the scent - Oil of Cloves. One of the main ingredients for most Elven Perfumes. Most humans would find it a little on the strong side, but Elves can't get enough of it.

"My step-aunt-twice-removed wears the exact same perfume. You've been sniffing around some elf recently, haven't you?"

Leo groaned as he pointed towards the area where the red curtains were located. "An Elven woman that I just met who goes by the name of Chrome is out there on the terrace right now waiting for me to return. You could come along if you'd like, kid."

"Che cosa-Why didn't you say so? Let's go say hi to your new lady friend!" Locke nudged Leo playfully and motioned to where the terrace was with both a respectable bow and smile, "Lead the way, fratello mio."

When he realized that Leo had basically turned to stone, which the Omega Scion felt was a predominant trait among Leo's race, he realized that he would have to go seek out this elven gal himself.

"Or not. Tck, story of my damn life. Want a job done right, do it yourself. You stay put, Mr. Stone, I'll pick up where you left off," grunted Locke as he trotted down the corridors.

As he followed his sense of smell down the library halls, he began to mutter to himself quitely, "Mezzasega...With a disposition like that, I find it too hard to believe he was even remotely capable of defeating father. I know father did opium back before I was born, maybe Leo blindsided him while he was doped up. Yeah, that's gotta be it..."

At that moment he came across a twin pair of red curtains. With a confident stride, he parted through them and was face-to-face with what he felt was a rather gorgeous elf woman. With white hair and an elegant with orange eyes that pierced right through him like an arrow, It was safe to say that the Omega Scion was efficiently charmed.

"Whoa..." Locke managed to choke out in an awestruck tone, his cheeks redding as he blushed.

Chrome put down the last of the three books, looking up at the opening curtains. She was just about to put the books back, but it seemed she had company first. The boy turned red as he uttered those words, so Chrome looked around her, not noticing anything else. She looked back at the boy. "Hey there."

"Uhhh hey," Locke looked left and right for a moment and then said, "I...assume you're a friend of Mr. Stone's, right? He was...'frozen up' for the moment so he'll be a while before he returns. He was supposed to come in with me, to be honest," when he said 'frozen up', he said it with a hint of annoyance.

"Anyways, where are my manners. My name is Locke Versetto Bault. And you must be..." Locke knew her name because of Leo, but it's politer to hear her say it; however, the redness on his cheeks remained strong.

"My name's Chrome Nova. Nice to meet you," she smiled. She wasn't much surprised Leo wasn't back yet. She wasn't keeping track of his time away. "So that's why Leo excused himself, and most likely why he was here."

"I'm sure he had his own reasons for excusing himself earlier, but he and I are past acquaintances," Locke explained ashe scratched the back of his head, "I wrote to him a year ago to meet me here in Isera to discuss business, however my trek from the Valkyrie Shoreline up to here took much longer than I thought. Not easy travelling alone, ya know. Mind if I sit down?

Chrome got up right after Locke asked to sit. "I don't mind, but I'm going to go put these books up, perhaps find some more readings." She grabbed the books. "You can tag along if you wish, but you wouldn't want to lose track of Leo, would you?"

"Nah, for now I got all the information I need from him. Besides, he won't get too far away from us. Guy's froze up like a rock. But, since I'm here I might as well help you out. I got nothing else better to do."

Locke grabbed a few of the books from Chrome's hands and went over to numerous places that the elf had grabbed them from. Some he had an easy time putting in. However, one was out of his reach by at least two feet. The Omega Scion was clearly annoyed; Locke was still going through puberty and height hadn't gotten to him yet.

"Dammit, can't reach. Wait, I know..."

Locke took off his gloves and placed them on the floor. He wasn't sure how to explain it to Chrome if she were to see it for herself, but he was sure she would be a bit flabbergasted in seeing his unique power. With a flash of light, Locke grabbed his left arm with his right hand, right below the shoulder, and shattered it off his body, the ends which connected crystallized instantaneously to prevent injury or blood loss and glowed a blue light. As he did that, the sound of glass shattering rang through the library.

While his arm may have been detached from his body, he still had full control over it as if it were still attached to him. While his right arm was still grabbing the left where he broke it off his body, his left grabbed the book. Using them in mindboggling tandem, Locke easily put the book back where it belonged.

"Haha, gotcha!" Locke grinned triumphantly.
